Traveler's Caution

To you, oh eager traveler. As you prepare supplies and pray to gods for guidance and a safe journey, be weary of The Wanderer. They are divine beyond the divine, and if mistaken for a god they will correct you once. Beyond that I cannot guarantee your fate for not even all the gods of all the lands can protect you from their whims.

I leave this warning because while stories of interacting with The Wanderer are common, they are not as common as crossing paths with them. They are a being who will appear in whatever form they deem convenient from the creatures who crawl on the ground to mountainous beast that defy understanding. When choosing to interact with travelers they will often take the form of a generic traveler that reflects one's self. Appearing as a fellow countryman of similar station and age to strike up conversation with no barriers.

It is for this reason that some refer to them as Wandering Mirror. They who reflect the world for what it is as they pass through it, but still residing in a world and reality of their own.

They will not offer a name or title beyond calling themselves a wanderer. Instead, if they deem you pleasant company, they will allow you to choose a name to know them by. A name that becomes like a secret only known between close friends.

Dear traveler, I advise you to treat all you come across as potential incarnations of this being beyond the three great generations. Lead with kindness and generosity as you go into the world with open arms.
